Hi, My name is Christina McCollom. I love being crafty and creative. There are not many crafts I haven't tried. The past few years I have incorporated this creativity into baking. I love to make themed cakes and cupcakes for my family and friends. I have dabbled in a few weddings here and there as well. My true passion is teaching, however. This will be my fourteenth year teaching at Choteau Elementary, and my 21st year teaching in an elementary classroom. I received my Bachelor degree from Montana State, Go Bobcats, in 1993. I started my career in Bozeman teaching 2nd grade at Hawthorne Elementary. Then became engaged and married to Brian. We moved to Choteau in 1995 and I was hired at Bynum Elementary and taught third, fourth, and Kindergarten for 3 years. At that time we had our first baby, Gavin, and I took a year off to be home with him. My husband Brian decided to change careers and join the optometry field so we moved west to the Portland area for the next 4 years. While there I taught first grade at a parochial private school. We then had our daughter Abby. I stayed home to be with her and Gavin. We moved back to Choteau and we bought the Eye clinic here and in Fairfield. I was fortunate to join the Choteau Elementary staff in 2006. I taught third grade for 2 years and I have been in 2nd grade the last few years. I am very much looking forward to teaching second grade again this year. I have an open door policy and welcome you at any time. Please email, text or call me anytime with questions or concerns.
